The Murray Language Academy Local School Council (LSC) supports transparent, community-centered school governance. The council brings together parents, community members, educators, staff, and school leadership to carry out the responsibilities assigned to Local School Councils and to support the continued growth of Murray Language Academy.

What the LSC Does

 

The LSC’s core responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and approving how school funds and resources are allocated when LSC action is required.

• Participating in the development, approval, and monitoring of the Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP).

• Carrying out principal evaluation, contract renewal, and principal selection responsibilities when applicable.

• Providing a public forum for school updates, questions, community input, and formal LSC action.

• Supporting transparency, accountability, and continuity in school governance.

How to Participate

 

LSC meetings are public, and Murray families, staff, students, neighbors, and community members are encouraged to attend and stay informed. Community members may participate during the public comment portion of the meeting in accordance with LSC procedures.
