At Murray Language Academy, we provide a cohesive, school-wide curriculum designed to challenge, engage, and support every learner. Our instructional programs are aligned across grade levels and grounded in research-based practices to ensure students build strong academic foundations and develop critical thinking skills.

Mathematics — enVision (Savvas)

Murray Language Academy utilizes enVision Mathematics, a Savvas program that emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and real-world applications. enVision supports students through visual models, structured practice, and opportunities to explain their thinking. This approach helps students build confidence and mastery in math while meeting rigorous grade-level standards.

Reading & Literacy — i-Ready

For reading instruction, Murray Language Academy uses the i-Ready Curriculum alongside the i-Ready Learning Platform. i-Ready provides diagnostic assessments that identify each student’s individual strengths and needs, followed by personalized instruction tailored to support growth. Students engage in interactive lessons that build foundational reading skills, comprehension, vocabulary, and stamina as readers.

Social Studies — myWorld Interactive

Our Social Studies curriculum, myWorld Interactive, encourages students to explore history, geography, civics, and culture through inquiry-based learning. Lessons connect content to real-world experiences and promote critical thinking, discussion, and literacy skills. Students learn to understand their role in the world and develop into informed, thoughtful citizens.

Science — Amplify Science

Murray Language Academy uses Amplify Science, a hands-on, inquiry-driven curriculum aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Students investigate real-world phenomena, conduct experiments, analyze data, and engage in scientific discussions. Amplify integrates reading, writing, and collaboration to deepen understanding and foster curiosity about the natural world.

Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)

Murray's curriculum is supported by a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) that provides small-group instruction and targeted supports to meet the needs of all learners. All students receive high-quality core instruction, while additional supports are provided when needed to strengthen skills or extend learning.

Murray School has a dedicated MTSS Coordinator and MTSS Teacher who provide additional instruction and targeted support for students across the building. Progress is monitored regularly to ensure supports are effective and responsive to student needs.
